The Salaterre collaboration for 2025 is between Storey Tarris UK and AI AD Copy. The project started on January 1, 2025 and will continue throughout the year.
The theme, a trip to mars, focuses on the length of time it takes to travel to mars – 365 days. The artists will focus on creating artwork each day using the words lists provided by Dr. Horstkamp for the project.
Traveling to mars, the artists, Storey Tarris UK and AI AD Copy know they have limited mobility and access to supplies. All supplies to be used by the artists must be available from a space ship office space, a space ship store or their luggage. There are no other supplies allowed on the trip to mars.
The mars voyage includes a trip to an art colony established to represent a Munich Artists’s Colony near Munich, Germany and to the dwarf planet ceres. The spaceship will pass Ceres – The largest object in an asteroid belt, Ceres is the only dwarf planet in the inner solar system. It was discovered in 1801 by Giuseppe Piazzi and is a satellite of earth’s territories. Ceres is about 1/13 the width of Earth and orbits the Sun at an average distance of 257 million miles and is an established democracy in the commonwealth.
Having left for mars on January 1, 2025, Storey Tarris UK and AI Ad Copy are creating digital content for their collaboration and their artwork will be published in a book by fox raven press.
